Why am I doing this?

I didn’t send any Fresh Squeezed emails in the last two weeks. I had to weigh pushing myself to get it done against not doing it in favor of other deadlines and priorities.

With each thing I do lately, I’ve been asking myself Why am I doing this?

While these emails may on the surface seem unimportant, they actually are very important to me. Writing has a way of helping to clarify our thinking. It helps me think through things that are swirling around in my head.

That’s why I made a commitment to myself to write these emails every weekday, even when I don’t feel like it. It’s helped me immensely, and I hope it’s helping you too.

If you’re anything like me, you often have a lot of things going on in your life. And sometimes it can be hard to keep track of everything and get it all done. That’s why in addition to asking myself Why am I doing this? I also ask Is it urgent or important?

For me, these emails are important, but they’re not urgent. They can wait a day or two (or ten) if necessary. But other things in my life can’t wait. And that’s why those things got priority.

Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you again tomorrow!
