Mid-year reflections: What worked? What didn’t?

Holy shit, it’s Elvis, I mean August. I can’t believe half the year is over.

How are you doing? You holding up OK? Back in June, I was thinking maybe I’d take a little break from Fresh Squeezed for July, but then I thought, Nah, I can do it, and well… I shoulda listened to that little voice. It’s like July was a black hole time vortex. But oh well. No harm done. And here we are on the other side.

Mid-year is a great time to stop and take a breather and reflect on the last 6 months. What worked? What didn’t? Am I on track? Which track? Where is the track? Am I off the rails?

I’ve shared various lists of reflection questions before, like this year-end review, and this one. Wow, I ask a lot of questions, don’t I? (see what I did there? 🤪) And then there is this monster: Small Business Marketing Self-Assessment I wrote for my other business ContentCreatorsPlanner.com.

Speaking of Content Creators Planner… we are running a huge 50% off sale right now — go get yourself some planners and save big at ContentCreatorsPlanner.com!

OK, back to the reflecting questions… These are the ones I’m asking myself right now (without judgment, of course!):

  • What were my goals at the beginning of the year?
  • How am I doing toward them?
  • Do these still feel like the right goals or have things changed?
  • What is working for me? What isn’t?
  • Where would I like to recommit my focus?
  • What excites me for the second half?

Asking and answering the right questions can be very powerful when it comes to making positive change. I encourage you to take some time to determine what commitments and course corrections you wish to make and then take inspired action.
