Persistent vs. Consistent

Consistent > (is greater than) persistent.

Both have their place, but the problem with persistently pushing hard is that in the long run, you might not see any success — making it is easy to lose motivation over time.

Whereas, the more you take consistent (imperfect) action, the more likely you will see results because it builds habits and provides opportunities for incremental successes over time. This builds up your confidence and motivation to keep going.

When you form a habit of doing something every day, it becomes ingrained in your routine. This means that when life happens and obstacles appear, you’re more likely to still do what needs to be done because the habit is part of your routine.

I’m curious to hear what you think on this subject! Comment below and share your thoughts.
