Did you know that over 70% of visitors who abandon your website will never return? 😲
If people are leaving your website without taking any action, that means you’re wasting practically all of your marketing efforts.
Considering that existing customers and email subscribers are 16x more likely to make a purchase than a regular website visitor, it’s sad that most websites capture the email address of fewer than 1 out of every 200 visitors.
This presents a huge opportunity: if you can prompt a user with a targeted campaign at the precise moment they’re about to leave, then you can improve your conversion rate significantly.
How do you do that?
Exit-intent.
Exit-intent technology captures the attention of website visitors who are about to leave your site, and prompts them with a targeted campaign. This can be an email capture form, or an offer to purchase a product. On average, you can get 3% – 15% of your visitors to subscribe and make a purchase soon after.
Exit-intent technology is easy to implement with the use of tools like these (I use both Convertbox and Beaver Builder):
- Convertbox
- Beaver Builder for WordPress
- Elementor for WordPress
- OptinMonster
- SumoMe
- Exit Bee
